Kansanvalistusseura, KVS Foundation, was founded in 1874. It is the oldest adult education organisation in Finland, with ideological roots in the very same national and cultural awakening which later led to Finland's national independence in 1917. The most important among the Finnish publications of the Foundation is the Yearbook of Adult Education (formerly the Yearbook of Liberal Education). Edited in cooperation with the Finnish Adult Education Research Society, it has been published for nearly 40 years.
LLinE - Lifelong Learning in Europe, published in English. The journal introduces European research, case studies and projects in adult education for the use of an international audience. Internationally recognised experts and representatives of European umbrella organisations in adult continuing education form the international editorial board.
