The Nordic Folk Academy has since 1992 been active in Nordic - Baltic co-operation. An overview of the work is given in the farewell interview with Arne Carlsen, former director of NFA. Democracy is the road and the goal Today the co-operation means close contacts between the Nordic and Baltic formal and non-formal adult education organisations. Regular yearly meetings are organised between the central Nordic and Baltic umbrella organisations for adult education as well as their member organisations. Through the meetings an NGO network has been established. The main partners in the Baltic states are the national associations for adult education. In Estonia - Estonian Popular Education League. In Latvia - Latvian Adult Education Association In Lithuania - Lithuanian Association of Adult Education. The database is free to search for everyone. As another channel of information, the newsletter Baltic Sea Dialogue is published by the NFA International Centre.
