What is the Civic Association for Adult
Learning?
- It is a flexible and innovative educational
and cultural agency in Finland
- It was established in 1964
- KSL´s philosophy is to build bridges
and nets, to initiate activities in collaboration with a wide range
of partner organisations, other non-governmental organizations and autonomous
groups. During the 90´s KSL has also been active in several projects
on a European level, for instance
 in HAVIVA
and SEPTIMUS, both in the field of developing cooperatives, also ESF-projects
involving youth, tourism business, ecological production... We also
joined AMARC Europe - the global association of community radio broadcasters,
and are participating in its training network project.
We are famous for our relaxed study atmosphere!

What do we do?
- We help our clients to meet the challenges
and find new opportunities offered by major social change, to develop
cooperative solutions in the third sector and to cope with digital technology.
Our services range from organizational consultancy and "future workshops"
to courses in digital audio.
- Special emphasis has also been placed
on adopting the traditional Study Circle
to fit into modern educational programs.
- We also work in various projects with

What are our
resources?
- KSL has a team of professionals with
many years of experience in the field of adult education. It has experts
in social enterprise, leadership and project management, environmental
education, digital technology, NLP and progressive pedagogies.
- Our speciality is to train people who
have had a short, often outdated, educational background.
- We have offices are in Helsinki, Turku,
Tampere, Lahti, Oulu and Jyväskylä.
